To celebrate the 60th anniversary, Christian Dior released a limited edition collection of handbags, Dior Samourai 1947 collection inspired by Japanese elements. This collection is combined the Dior unique creativity with Japanese ancient heritage to create a very distinctive handbag collection. A lot of bag aficionados describe it as a work of art. Today when I surf on the Dior official website, I discover one member of this collection, Dark Red Samourai 1947 Armour Bag.

This bag is coated in dark red polished leather with knots details. The whole design is very exquisite with a hint of vintage. Take a closer look at it; you will discover that the design of the handle is very amazing. The ring ingeniously connects with a small snake and the Christian Dior embossed medallion dangles from it. With tortoise shell finished frame, the bag is strong and always with style. It is sized at 32×22×13cm with one inside zipped pocket. The bag is inspired by traditional medieval Samurai armours, which features 198 individual scales to weave together with hand-aged calf-skin leather strips. And the bag is also blade cut and perforated.

Personally, I deem it has been the most amazing collection to come out for a long time, which is a reflection of the creative spirit of John Galliano and the uniqueness of the House of Dior.
